I agree with the previous post, opinions are ok, but yeah, disturbia doesn't even touch Rear Window. I have no issue with opinions, but there is a difference between art and simple minded entertainment.

actually when I saw this i thought it should be considered a remake of rear window. instead of a broken leg, he has a house arrest anklet. both are confined to their house because of their leg. both are loosing a since of reality do to the isolation and are spying on their neighbors out of lack of better things to do. then no one believes the crazy isolated guy. I just thought the similarities are more then just coincidence. Not that I didn't like the movie. it was a decent movie and kept me entertained.

I actually thought it was intended and understood to be a remake of Rear Window, with some changes and updates. There are too many similarities to be coincidental.
Tell me the truth. Are we still in the game? -

I love creepy neighbor movies, especially when those neighbors are part of a cult. Rosemary's Baby and The Tenant are definite recommendations.
Suspiria is kind of on the same line as well (girl moves into new place to discover things aren't as they seem). -

" Brainscan " from 1994 was like " the beyond crazy neighbor type movie " with a lot of extra twist and turns - good flick if you like horror / sci fi and Edward Furlong
. Also the TV Movie Remake of " Rear Window " from 1998 ( with actor Christopher Reeve ) was another excellent one too . Thanks nancydrewadventure for your subject post
.
