If they were good enough they would already be booked in NY, Vegas, LA etc instead of this ****.

You bring up an interesting point.
I would say that Susan Boyle was the one and only one from any AGT who became a world wide, or at least two country, household name for a few days.
Everyone else comes and goes to be forgotten forever.
This show is a last desperate attempt to find fame that they will never find.
If they are so good then they would be getting booked without a talent TV show.
