Yes. Kids learn by what they experience every day, so it's no good parents telling their children to do something, if they're doing the opposite themselves.

I was also cared for by my dad's mom and 2 younger sisters as a toddler and preschooler because I was White with an Asian mom and European-American dad. (It was because my parents were silly and I couldn't identify with another Caucasian female, otherwise. I wanted to be cool in a White way, too, and
        be
White, as well as fit Asian if that's good in that way.)
        That's nice.

Didn't you have much time with your mother when you were little? Was she busy working?

She was my main person until my younger brother was bornโ€ฆ. I was sorta to myself but also was with my dad more. My mom was a secretary sometime then, even when my younger brother was a baby somehow. I remember her boss's name, Peggy. She made a knit/crochet for my younger brother, a long clown.

You have a good memory! That sounds like a nice period in your life.

Yea, my mom helped me remember partly by looking at photos. Yea, that's when we lived in the county Fort Lauderdale, Southeastern Florida is in. We went to Key West twice when I was a baby and toddler but never Miami in my life. My dad's job had us going. I was 5, starting kindergarten after moving.

i say yes. if young children dont learn how to conduct themselves
                  properly
at an early age, and there's no other role-models in the household for the kids to takke
                  positive
guidance from, then you have a strong possibility of kids growing up without any self-worth, positive goals, or a sense of where they belong.
however, this all a moot point if parents are raving lunatics. key element is in setting a good, moral examples

People get mad if their own parents are attractive and it's hard to win over the affection of another adult, like a female teacher.
