Curious here, what do they leave to be desired?
Me, I like GORE. I like antagonists that have no redeeming arcs or qualities. I like them simple, preferably silent, with a high body count or at least a fun way of dispatching people.
But if I want to freak myself out for real, I take a long drive along a road with no street lights, while listening to creepy music. After a while a random car always comes up behind me, and I "paranoid" myself out because they of course stick to my tail, not wanting to pass me, and that move alone makes my heart beat faster because my imagination takes over. I've been known to do the same while walking offbeat roads or paths. Once it happened that I was with a friend of mine in Rome, and we were very drunk and a couple of guys tried to accost us, who knows how badly that could have gone, but that THING inside me came out….I laughed out loud, broke a bottle that was in the alleyway and said in Italian "finally some FUCKING FUN IN THIS TOWN. LET'S GO, and let this be a beautiful death!". The dudes ran away, much to my disappointment. They most likely thought I was too crazy to mess with. OH WELL.
Won that tourney.
I get pumped on that sort of action. I'm just that kind of maniac. Don't
ever
play chicken with the likes of me! -

You would have fun in New Orleans.
Driving alone out in the darkness sounds like bait for a UFO abduction. I think they say that here in the USA, if you're out alone in a wide open area you are more likely to be abducted and I guess better be careful. I used to watch that when I got the TV, too. Funny things that they say are true…
I wonder if you would find Orlando maybe amusing at first, hey it has the theme parks, but otherwise it might be rather strange for some kinds of people at least.
