The Nicholas Cage flick referred to above is probably "8mm". In 8mm the character of machine has some of the most wonderfully creepy lines of dialog I have ever heard spoken.
This film reminded me of movies like: Saw and Phone Booth where most of the action/drama takes place in a claustrophobic space.
It strongly reminded me of the movie Collateral where the protagonist is held captive by a deranged killer.
*Edit: I've only now realized the question is regarding human trafficking. Didn't "The Pusher" film series have some human trafficking going on? Many might disagree, but I thought Hostel provided plausible methods by which American and other affluent Europeans might be brought into the world of sex slavery or other maltreatment. -

There's an extremely low-budget movie called Red Ridge that I found wellinteresting. It's got a very cheesy, C-Drive-In movie feel to it. Very grindhouse and exploitational but overall effective and disturbing.
I think Shuttle did a good job with walking this line and making it fairly classy, and it's a much more well made and acted film than Red Ridge. The big minus in Red Ridge is that the acting, save for a few of the villains, is REALLY bad. -

Taken
it was much better than this one has a bettter ending.
shuttle could have been much better with a differenet ending.
it started very well, there were so many moments with real tension
thrillers of this type with no happy endinds are so disapointing.

There ARE A LOT of bad movies like this. Just use IMDB to search 3 star movies and then look for 1 star monies. You will have to fllter 5 stars from every imdb post. Seems they start high to give these losers a going bang.
