OK, I will admitt that singling out Bush is a bit unfair. After all, he is more of a figure-head than anything else.

"O.KFirst of all, the fact that you are quoting the President is laughable. There are books, calenders, web-pages, and movies dedicated solely to the sheer idiocy of what Mr. Bush has said. Secondly, the above quote by Bush should be addressed to Bush himself."
It's this kind of reasoning that disturbs me about the left turn so many want this country to make. You actually believe you've presented a valid argument here, don't you? I've seen the same You Tube videos of Bush's verbal gaffs. But you've not addressed the substance of any of the coherent quotes posted here, accept to imply that Bush himself is evil. My lord but you are numbskull. Come on man use that gray matter and think.

Free speech was created as a concept to protect the rights of ALL AMERICAN citizens, regardless of their political ideas, concepts, and opinions. It's called "Free Speech" for a reason. Free speech was created even for those of us who aren't willing to continue supporting the endless, pointless war in Iraq. Just because we speak out against it, does not make us un-patriotic.

Well recently there was a call to "Redefine Privacy" Soon we will see republicans wanting to "Redefine Freedom".
Scary times we live in boys and girls. Buy a weapon and keep it loaded.

Just like the fact that government needs to be smaller, not bigger, taxes need to be lower, not higher. We pay far too much in taxes to feed an ever-growing government. Thankfully, Republicans have helped cut taxes over the years, and the country is better for it. Just take a look at the recent tax proposal by liberal Democrat Charles Rangel, and one will see why we can't let the Democrats win the White House. With control of Congress, the Democrats are one election away from grinding the economy to a halt

Here's what the replublicans have done:
Budgetted $56B dollars a year to education.
Pay $400B to interest to china and japan (mostly) for the loans we've taken out.
Seeing any connection to reality yet, Dukejbm? This is like a consumer quitting his jobbut as long as he goes deeper and deeper in debt without using federal aid, he's a-okay in your book?
You do realize that the President thought 1Billion a year more to education was too expensivewhile he spend $12Billion a MONTH on this "war"?

Duke, thanks for putting your ignorance on display for everyone here. It really is laughable, but then again you must be one of the select few (24% and dropping, in the latest polls) who slavishly believes everything you hear from right-wing talk radio and FOX "News", not to mention a president who lied his way into a preventive war we had no reason, absolutely no reason, getting into. How many Americans have died in Iraq? How many have been mained? How many Iraqis? Assuming you care, which, of course you don't.
As for budget deficits, which president started off his presidency seven years ago with a budget surplus which he promptly squandered on corporate tax breaks, tax breaks for the wealthy, and running up public spending? You do realize that Bush's tax cuts haven't resulted in spending cuts, right? Right. AND you can't blame the Democrats. They were out of power during the first six years of Bush's presidency. Suck it up and take the blame like a man. The Republican Party treated the federal treasury like it belonged to them. Once, long ago, Republicans loved to call Democrats "Tax and Spend Liberals". Instead, they've become "Tax Cut and Spend Conservatives." Which party, I ask you, is worse when it comes to fiscal responsibility? Don't answer that. We already know the answer.
Of course, all we have to do is look at "Duke's" name to see he's all talk and no action. Why is it that right-wingers love to talk tough, but have others die for their mistakes? Why are they so unwilling to volunteer for the wars they so fervently support? Or barring that, since we're borrowing billions from the Chinese to fund the wars and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, why aren't you willing to sacrifice financially (i.e., give your tax refunds, if any back)?
You, Duke, are everything that's wrong with this country. Thankfully, you're in the minority now and, hopefully, for the near and distant future. It'll take decades to clean up the mess the Bush-Cheney administration has made both here and abroad. Then again, you obviously don't care, as long as your taxes are low (ha) and you don't have to sacrifice anything personally.
                                    Class is dismissed.

President Bush compared liberal fools with people who ignored the rise of Lenin and Hitler early in the last century, saying "the world paid a terrible price" then and risks similar consequences for inaction today.
"Unfortunately, on too many issues, some in Congress are behaving as if America is not at war," Bush said.
He argued that the current debate over the Iraq war and the Bush administration's anti-terror methods harkens back to debates decades ago in Washington when Soviet founder Vladimir Lenin first talked about launching a communist revolution, when Adolf Hitler began moves to establish an "Aryan superstate" in Germany, and when some argued that Cold War accommodation of the Soviet Union was wiser than competition.
"Now we're at the start of a new century, and the same debate is once again unfolding, this time regarding my policy in the Middle East," Bush said. "Once again, voices in Washington are arguing that the watchword of the policy should be stability."
Bush said denial that "we are at war" is dangerous.
"History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake," Bush said. "Bin Laden and his terrorist allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before them. And the question is, will we listen?"
