I really think the writers tried to make him and Stuart a thing but chickened out.
If that were true I do not think they would have had him sleep with the girl at the Halloween party back when he had selective mutism.

Not to stereotype, but aren't most lesbians rather butch, though? They like to do masculine stuff like participate in rough sports and play guitar.
