Really?
I never judge locations from movies. I've traveled across 23 countries/provinces on five continents.
Those locations are Vatican City, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Jordan, Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Turkey, Russia, Romania, Portugal, Italy, The Netherlands, Morocco, Monaco, Peru, Austria, and Hungary.
Stay home if you want. But for those who stay, you're missing out on an amazing world. I know people who have traveled to many of my dream destinations such as Switzerland, Croatia, Sweden, Luxembourg, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Egypt, Japan, Thailand, Australia, India, Ecuador, China, Iceland, Vietnam, and many more. -

I mostly avoid methods of transportation because of movies. You'd have to knock me out to get me on a plane or an ocean cruise ship. LOL. I'm too paranoid and I've seen too many films involving the destruction of those things.
I don't like trains much, either.

As Bryan states to his daughter..there are certain places in Paris, and all countries, which should be avoided. Don't be an ignorant yuckster; wandering around like a fool, if you truly don't know what you're doing..
There are people in tourist countries who make a good living looking for the unaware and ignorant. -

I agree. 18 months ago a friend and one of her girlfriends were to come see me in Ireland and the friends family convinced her to change her mind. Absolutely ridiculous.
I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time Del Boy, it's them that started me drinking! -

I don't stay home.
I don't consider myself the way I am because of movies but I am jaded.
I am a person who has watched a lot of news over the years, I've watched a lot of crime shows and I heard, seen, read LOTS of accounts of horrible, horrible things happening. Young girls abducted, raped and murdered, a young girl abducted and tortured and burned to death, a grandma walking her baby shot, home invasions, the family raped and the house set on fire..they die, robberies everywhere, muggings, random shootings, strangers attacking strangers on the streets, in stores, in buses, people opening their doors for others because they knocked and dying, house installation workers raping women at houses they are working at, real estate agents raped and killed while showing houses. The world is full of horrible monsters. They are everywhere. You can't tell what they look like by just seeing them.
I would say that I'm not a very trusting person, I don't always assume the best of strangers. I am always armed and I am always aware of my surroundings. Anyway, I do travel and go places but I don't walk around just assuming the 100 or so passerbys that I come across are all harmless, nice good people. I keep my eye out and I'm ready to fight if need be. I'm not just in my own little world waiting to be snuck up on.

There is nothing wrong with someone who stays home instead of traveling. Traveling is not for everyone. When I was young and had plenty of energy I traveled a bit but even then it was too much work for the small amount of enjoyment I got from it. I had more fun traveling where I lived with going an hour or two away to go camping, fishing, skiing, boating, motorcycling, snowmobiling etc etc. Now that I'm older enjoying my house is right up my alley. I already feel I've lived 3 life times worth of doing things and going places. I'm completely content to enjoy life from home now. People who love to travel well good for them. I find it funny though the people who travel a lot and just can't understand that some people aren't like them and don't share the same flair for traveling.
