Where, specifically, are we going to be narratively going into the series finale of GoT?

No one knows, we can only speculate as of right now. Though since we already know how season 7 pans out, we have a better idea of how the final season could play out.
Personally I think it's going to end in a big final clash in King's Landing, where ice and fire will duke it out, and old scores are finally settled between various characters. At the end, whoever survives has to build a new world on top of the destroyed old one. Basically the old feudal society of kings, queens, lords and houses will have gone, and been replaced by a more free and democratic society, thus kind of ending the Game of Thrones.
      Una!

I think either Jon or Dany sacrifices their life to save the dayand the other rules.

Daenerys will die, Jon will step down, Sansa will become Cersei's adoptive heir.
Arya will go west and jump off the edge of the world.
