              I couldn't pick just 3.
              Fort Apache
              Gunfight at the OK Corral
The Good The Bad and The Ugly
              The Outlaw Josie Wales*
*I saw John Vernon live at The Stratford Festival as Coriolanus when I was a teen.

                The Revenant
The Good the Bad and the Ugly
I'm entirely sure that you're entirely sure what I'm implying.

I don't think The Revenant technically counts. A period film yes, but it was set well before the civil war.

Westerns are generally post Civil War. The Revenant took place 40 years earlier.
