Inscreased. I think some episodes like The Door and particulary the Winds of Winter are some of the strongest episodes of the show so far.
One thing I can honestly say about all seasons of Game of Thrones, there is always something that blows me away.

Overall I would say increased, but there were definite areas that could have been improved had more thought gone into it. It's strange to have a show that produces moments of utter brilliance and epicness like the Battle of the Bastards and the Light of the Seven, but also moments laughably terrible like the Dorne subplot and Arya's conclusion in Mereen. The showrunners do get some cred for tightening the narrative and keeping the focus on the main characters, rather than just infinitely bloating everything like GRRM has done.

it stayed about the same. even though they handled the climaxes very well in the finale, the narrative and build up of the season overall is about the same of season 5

My appreciation of the show has been the same since 2011. It's not "Macbeth" and I don't expect it to be. It was pop entertainment back in season 1 and it's the same 6 years later.
Now, as to whether they can end on a high note or not, something like "The Winds of Winter" obviously gives hope. I think they can pull it off in general terms. There will be some unsatisfying arcs, though; it's only natural with there being so many.

            Confess.

Increased. D&D proved themselves perfectly capable of making incredible TV even without any source. I have no doubt that the endgame will be awesome. We have the lack of Sapo this season which is a shame, but I'm excited to see how Podeswa does and newcomer Matt Shakman. Will we have Sapo for season 8?

Increased tremendously. The Samwell storyline annoyed people here, but I'm glad they introduced Randyll Tarly. That uncomfortable dinner scene with Sam and Gilly was very fine drama. Pretty sure Randyll will take the place of Tywin for season 7. The actor who played him was very effective.
Also looking forward to more Bran. I just hope he's more than just a vision-quester. I want more magic from him. I actually want Bran to defeat the Night King.

I'd say its the stayed about the same. I preferred S6 to S5, but then I think S5 is still a pretty good season of television all things considered. My love for the show has definitely died down over the last two seasons, which is partly because I've seen so many great shows since then, and partly because the show's quality has marginally gone down.
Still, the last two episodes of S6 were absolutely phenomenal, with the finale being a top 20 all-time episode of TV. I'm excited for S7.

When season 5 ended, I was definitely still on board, but I saw the seeds of D&D losing interest with their lazy writing. Any time a character was in trouble, somebody popped up out of nowhere to save the day.
Season 6 assuaged my fears, as the deus ex machina trope was used very sparingly.
Going forward, the fact that season 6 went out with such a bang and that the end is in sight completely eliminates my fear that D&D will phone it in from now on.

No, but it also wasn't confirmed so there was an actual chance it wouldn't come to pass or might have somehow been inaccurate. Now there isn't. And I think I'll throw up if we get a generic "Jon is the chosen one, saves the day, kills the walkers, and reunites the realm as king while everyone else in the story turns into a prop for him" ending. Lol
