offensive
adjective
1.causing someone to feel deeply hurt, upset, or angry.
2.actively aggressive; attacking.
There isn't really an issue to debate. A child took pride in a compliment given to her by a media outlet. What a bitch! Or are you offended that she tweeted her personal opinions? Because twitter was never meant for that

It's only an attack if i'm hurt. And Maisie's a big girl by the way, she's not a child. She can be criticised - as can her critics.

It doesn't matter how you feel about it. Defense is defending yourself. Offense is attacking.
Most 19 year olds still behave like children. Sure, criticize anyone you want. You claim to be trying to have a conversation though rather than just taking pot shots. My point is that there's nothing wrong with taking pride in being complimented, especially on a grand scale. There also isn't anything wrong with voicing opinions on a twitter account where anyone reading is doing so to hear what you have to say.
