only her breasts are described as somewhat saggy but its only natural she would lose weight when she was starved. i never got the feeling that she gained that much weight to begin with. either way she's had 3 kids and there's no way she wouldn't realize pregnancy symptoms at that point.

Her breasts are described as saggy. But she is generally described as saggy as well. And I wouldn't say it was just "somewhat saggy" either. The kid who commented on Cersei's body was obviously shocked and disbelieving that the queen could be as saggy as his saggy mom. And Cersei even admits that her body was seen by the smallfolk as "more like their mothers than their pretty little maiden daughters".
I think it was a combination of having three kids, then getting into heavy drinking, gaining some weight as a result, and then being put on a very restricted diet while she was imprisoned. That can really take a toll on someone's looks.
i never got the feeling that she gained that much weight to begin with.
I didn't either. Just enough to get a gut probably. But you don't need to gain a lot of weigh to get saggy. It just depends on your skin type.
either way she's had 3 kids and there's no way she wouldn't realize pregnancy symptoms at that point.
That's what I always thought too, but this new development has me questioning my previous assumptions. -

lol idk why you got fixated so much on the saggy part. its really not a big deal.
this is stupid D&D fanfic. no way this happens in the book. jaime/cersei aren't f-cking and cersei would immediately take moontea if a kettleblack got her pregnant. i don't even believe that she'll be having sex with anyone after ADWD, she's too heavily guarded by septas. -

It's GRRM who is fixated on the saggy part. He mentioned it repeatedly. I was just going off what he wrote.

I hope you are right.

She recently had sex with a Kettleblack and then got arrested.

Me neither. If she is pregnant, it's already happened. -

just so you know, some women just have naturally sag to their breasts because they're breasts are big. even when they haven't had kids. the people's reactions to cersei's body to me seemed like the type of glee that people now get when they see unflattering photos of celebrities and because they hate her guts rather than her actually looking like a hideous monster to me. there are plenty of women who have these flaws are still very beautiful.
i don't think this subplot is anything more than cheap shock value. which is gross because using a miscarriage for shock is just cruel to me. -

I am aware that many people delight in Cersei's physical flaws because they hate her, but GRRM did go out of his way to describe her in an unflattering manner, and that is canon.
Moreover, I never gave an opinion on Cersei's appearance. Merely stated that she is notably saggy as is stated several times in the text. And I mentioned this only because I was trying to gauge whether she was pregnant or not based on clues given about her physical appearance. -

lmao its obviously canon but you have to take it in context. it doesnt just exist in a vaccum. there's a reason why those horrific insults about her body are littered in a chapter in which she goes through an obviously injust and unfair and disgusting misogynistic punishment.
honestly the way you're fixating on it has grossed me out far more than how GRRM wrote it.
either way a couple of mentions of sagging breasts and stretch marks are hardly the things that pop out of my mind of "unflattering appearances" (god forbid lmao) with the other horrific sh-t in this series. -

On the contrary, GRRM made a point of having non-malicious commentators acknowledge Cerseis physical flaws, such as that child and later a regretful uncle Kevan. Nor were these references confined to the chapter in which the walk of shame took place. Had only malicious commentators insulted Cersei, I would have dismissed the whole thing outright.
honestly the way you're fixating on it has grossed me out far more than how GRRM wrote it.
I used a textual clue (Cerseis saggy physique) for the sole purpose of determining if she could be with child or not. And I have continued to discuss the topic solely because you remarked on the subject in a way that is differing from how it is described within the text. But feel free to completely distort my intent. I couldnt care less.

Going by the text, it is obvious that Cerseis body has gone through a change and this change has shocked some, drawn pity from other, while also thrilling many of the smallfolk who were more than happy to laugh at an aging woman (which of course is very sad and cruel). GRRM did intend his description of Cersei in late AFFC/ADWD to be unflattering (he made it plain by contrasting what she had been with what she now was). -

If the spoilers are true Cersei is pregnant, but it ends in a big abortive mess (we're talking gross bloody miscarriage). It can be a way to show Cersei that she will never escape her fate. She'll probably view the pregnancy as a means to disprove the final part of Maggy's prophecy. If she has another child, she'll likely think she's home free since she was only supposed to have three. She'll also likely view Dany as the younger more beautiful queen once she becomes aware of her existence. Thus, she'll think she is further securing her survival by betraying Dany and Jon (only to further seal her fate). She will be cast down by a younger more beautiful one. She will lose all she holds dear. She will not have any more children. Death would have been kinder.
