It's sick, what other reasons you need? In US founder or gay rights movement was Harry Hay who also supported NAMBLA, and nowadays he's being celebrated as gay icon.
Frank Kameny was another queer who supported NAMBLA's "right for free speech", and he also refused to condemn bestiality, that is the guy who Obama honored in White House before he's death. Also, Kameny had an asteroid named after him.

Most gay folk I know are tax paying, lawn mowing, Costco buying citizens who put one foot in front of the other, just like everyone else. Most heterosexual couples I know use birth control to stop pregnancies, so all that sex is just for joyful reasons, perhaps? And many of their sexual acts (oral and anal) have no intention of producing childrenso are THEY sick?
I guess one can be provincially minded and closed off from the real world, even if, or because they are from Finland? -

I just could never figure this out. How exactly does homosexuality, and gay rights for that matter, personally effect you for the worst? I'm a straight guy, and have no interest in men. But I also don't see why this has to be such a huge issue. Is it really THAT big of a deal?
I hear this debated over and over these days and could never hear a straight answer. So religious reasons aside, why all the hate for gays exactly? If someone could PLEASE just give me a straight answer, that would be awesome.
Bashers (anykind) lash out at the thing they fear most. In the case of gay bashers, they fear they themselves are gay. So, they must prove they're not. They think by stomping it out, they will stomp it out in themselves.
Just like the bullys who bully other kids, they have alot of insecurities and are weak. they must prove they are not, so they bully.

no, because atheism is merely the absence of belief. the belief in nothing greater or elite, and we are all on the same playing field as human beings. it's people of faith who dictate that the playing field is in fact, not equal for everyone, and they play the passive-aggressive bullying card, at best. if we have a group of people who go around claiming they are "saved," then that only means one thing even if they don't voice it: "and you're not." the worst case scenario of course, is the people of faith who go around telling others outright that they are "damned." so long as religion's nicest representatives still deal in passive-aggressive philosophies, it's a tough sell to refer to atheists as bullies.

I'm mostly liberal, but I could see why you wouldn't be comfortable with homosexuals. However, they still deserve the same rights you do. Not liking them and discriminating/not tolerating them isn't the same thing.

A lot of straight men are afraid that gay men will try to pick up on them, which is self-flattering (like they think they're a studly hunk worthy of being picked up on). That's every bit as irritating to me as women who complain about men picking up on them. An example in media is the commercial of the Discover
card that advertises that you can freeze the card. A girl finds the card, unfreezes it, then a man who is glad to see her says, "you're back!" so she refreezes the card to buy herself time to get away. I'm sure most women under 40 would find this humorous. I thought it to be disrespectful and I thought she was flattering herself. Even if he's not her type, she should at least respectfully tell him that she's not interested.
Same thing about homophobes who think they're going to get hit on by men. Hell I am a straight man but gay men are to my benefit: more women for

I knew a straight woman once who hated gay men, because her husband left her for a man. So, you have that contingent.

I'm not saying they are not sure about being straight. They just aren't sure it's obvious that they are straight (that they appear manly enough), and they are afraid of being mistaken as gay, so they feel the need to say bad things about homosexuality, to show everybody that they are definitely not gay.
Or they are just some other kind of stupid.
The closest thing you can get to one straight answer, is that it always involves stupidity and some tendency to hate anything that's different from themselves.
I don't see the big deal either. There's no rational reason to hate on gay people or gay rights. It does not affect anyone that is not gay. -

I like this same used up retarded argument "everyone who dislikes gays is a closeted gay himself". I personally dont hate gays to the point of wishing them harm or bad things, its not my business who you have sex with behind closed doors.
But i do dislike them, it is uncomfortable and disgusting for me to watch two men kissing for example. Similar feeling as if watching extreme gore scene or other disgusting scene. And what's more annoying is LBGT and their agenda being forced everywhere nowadays, having a gay character just for the sake of having gay character.
There was only one time when i wasn't really disgusted by gay characters on screen and it was Oz tv series. Beecher's and Keller's romance storyline. The actors played well and the characters were nicely written and not just forced like nowadays. It was really interesting to watch.
