I always wonder if analog drift is a deliberate mechanism to force you to buy replacements. There's no way they haven't figured those things out by now.

I think so too. I went to get a tool kit to get inside it, because I've got nothing to lose by breaking it open haha! The guy was like "uh you're wasting your money, just buy a new one"
