Especially for Brenda who is so dillisional thinking because she lived of life of luxury previously because of drugs that she deserves to have it all again. Without thought of her son, even demanding that her friend drop everything and do as she commands. At least most of the people in this show face the truth of their lives.
She's going to get herself into some deep trouble with what she and her assistant are doing with the drugs, deservedly so.
Her character really irritates me. -

I'm not sure we're expected to feel sad for these characters anymore than we're expected to feel sad for say, James Bond, Jack Bauer, Vic Mackey or any other so-called anti-hero who gets "caught". The circumstances they're in are the result of the life they chose.
What I think we're supposed to find entertaining, what we're supposed to watch for, root for, is their ability to get out of tough situations. We can admire their ingenuity and perseverance. We can like them, but it's not necessary. I think we're just supposed to be able to relate to them. They've made bad choices and are doing their best to deal with the situation they're in. The best way they know how.
We all can relate to how that feels.
Bond and Bauer have their spy training. Mackey has his cop training and street smarts. Teresa has her street smarts and what she learns along the way from Quero and now Camilla an James. Brenda also has her street smarts, but they're low-level drug dealer smarts.
Unfortunately, Brenda is limited to just those low level smarts. Unlike Teresa, she's not quick on her feet, she's not a quick learner. She knows what she knows and that's it. If there's anything sad about her, it's that.

Which means her character won't be around long.

So, you want to equivocate people who are law-breakers to those who pursue and bring lawbreakers to justice?
You have an extremely flawed set of logic skills, but your ability to rationalize your insane thoughts is highly developed, making you an excellent candidate for psychological help. You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU WILL ATONE!

No. I'm equivocating one fictional character with another.
You have an extremely flawed set of logic skills, but your ability to rationalize your insane thoughts is highly developed, making you an excellent candidate for psychological help.
Why are you making this thread about me? You don't like what I wrote, then disagree. State why you disagree in story and character terms.
But your personal feelings about me, my logic skills or whether you believe I - a perfect stranger whom you've not only never laid eyes on you have never communicated with outside of the posts on the bulletin boards of this website - need psychological help are irrelevant to not only the topic under discussion, this board, but also this website as a whole.

LOL! I usually just lurk on these boards, but I had to post something after viewing this thread. I completely agree with your response to the thread's question. I'm not quite understanding why some of these comments are expecting this traditional hero vs. villain plot line that's been beaten to death. They're all flawed characters like all human beings. Yes, they're consistently engaging in illegal activity, but that doesn't make them "villains" or unworthy of sympathy or respect. Personally, I see a primary theme of survival, not this good vs. evil BS. They're not wallowing in self-pity and wondering "Why is this happening to me?!" They acknowledge the choices that they've made, and they're simply trying to make the best of the consequences.
I feel like some people genuinely believe that everyone has the same opportunities to accept or refuse "bad" choices or that "doing the right thing" is universally recognizable/easily accepted. These characters have been dealt a hand in life that often blurs this distinction. They're desperately trying to give their loved ones a life worth living, like we all strive for, while also trying to stay alive at the same time. It's risky business, but for many of these characters, it's the only opportunity they have to sustain in this world.
On a side note, I admire the way you handled the unsolicited psychoanalysis from a complete stranger. Haha! Some people -

Because they've been raised by tv for morons and the American idea that there is such a thing as Good and Evil, and Heroes and Villains.

There's big difference between Jack Bauer and underwear model jamie bondina and vick.
Jack bauer actually fought people who threaten to kill more than 'random gangsters' The Shield, and his bitch boss lady (jamie bondina)
