… since Peter Billingsley (Ralphie in “A Christmas Story”) appeared as an unrelated character in the original’s finale, as a homage to ACS which was the inspiration for “The Wonder Years.” It’d be so cool if the reboot’s eventual finale ended with Dean Williams interacting with Kevin Arnold. This works out since Don Cheadle resembles his younger counterpart, while Daniel Stern looks nothing like Fred even though they ironically played father and son in “Little Monsters.”

Doubt it.
Here is my idea for the finale.
Since this new, black version is being all woke and ****…
They show the kid as an adult.
He gets pulled over for DWB.
A racist cop murders him either with gun shots or choked to death.
We see it from his POV and the screen goes black as his eyes are closing for the final time.
Credits with no music.
