Actually, it's based on a graphic novel, so if you have a problem, blame them, not the movie.

no, it doesn't. did you even play the Hitman games? because there is nothing alike to the characters in Hitman to the characters in this movie.
that's like saying this movie is a ripoff of the Princess Bride. it makes just as much sense and is just as accurate.
