I understand the posts about how the characters are all awful people you can't feel for, but if you have ever lived with toxic people such as them, it resonates deep. It also, for me anyway, makes me proud of myself for getting away from family members like that.

I agree. I think the people who don't like this movie probably can't relate to the characters.

No, they relate all too well. Makes them uncomfortable and they don't like it. Makes me think about my own family.
