So she knew Beverly was banging her sister. That doesn't mean she could've known Little Charles' paternity 100% as Mattie Faye was still married to Charles Sr.
It made sense Mattie Faye knowing Little Charles' paternity, but did it Violet?
From Violet's POV to me it should've been a 50/50 thing, Beverly could've been the Father.

I think it would depend on how long Mattie Faye and Charles had been married before she became pregnant. If a few years have gone by since their wedding, with no pregnancy, and then Mattie Faye and Beverly get together and she becomes pregnant, odds are it's Beverly's child.

Remember, he was also very similar to Bev in that outcast way, the poems and they had that "unspoken connection" that everybody saw. This would be odd if little Charles was actually Big Charles' son.

Vi having professed that nothing gets by her (and not much did) would've noticed these little quirks. She seemed to notice everything.
