This film made Anna look like a bumbling drivel spouting idiot

Anna looks and sounds like a 9 year old child that never grew up and I am not just talking about her ridiculous haircut, outfits, & sunglasses. In the world of High fashion I expect ridiculous hair & outfits, but Anna's personal choices in clothing SCREEEEAAAMMMMMM I AM A LITTLE GIRL! There is nothing womanly, sexy or appealing about her, she seriously looks like a dysfunctional adult with no grip on reality. Her anger tantrums, pettiness, jealousy, nepotism and disingenuity in the film are appalling and I cannot believe she let this movie go out. It makes her look like S#!t
I find it interesting that many on these boards think Anna has a bratty child, because the only bratty child I saw in the movie was Anna! Left and right she tosses great photos, ideas and concepts without any justification & explanation and in many instances the creative staff is baffled by her decision process. Most simply pass Anna's decision process off as "genius," that needs no explanation, but the reality is, there is no rhyme or reason with her decision process. From what I have seen in the film, it truly appears that she has no idea what she is doing, other than playing a role or "face."
Oh yes she did have the "genius," idea to put celebrities on the cover of Vogue, I mean that is really ground breaking stuff right there, how did she ever come up with such a cutting edge, off the globe idea! BRILLIANT I SAY BRILLIANCE! Lets also not forget that SHE BROUGHT FUR BACK IN THE 90's!!! MY GOD THE GENIUS OF IT ALL!!!! PUT HER UP ON THE MANTLE WITH EINSTEIN!
I think Anna's fat troll assistant was the only "more," unlikeable person in the entire movie. I forget his name, I think it was "Pisswad," but my God what a tool! I felt bad for Grace and the rest of the creative staff, because all their talent, has to be filtered through that putz before it gets to Anna, and then the majority of Anna's feed back and stonewalling has to be regurgitated back through him.ugggg!
I think Anna's most troubling line of incoherent babble spouting was, "People fear fashion." Seriously, there is so much wrong to this statement I think I could write a book. First, people do not fear fashion, people fear nuclear warheads pointed at their country, people fear castration, people fear loosing their life savings, people fear AIDS, people fear Ebola, people fear Anthrax, people fear having their children suffer, etc. Fashion is not supposed to induce fear, nor can it induce fear. Fashion is HAPPY. I am a 33 year old straight male that has nothing to do with the fashion industry and even I know that FASHION = HAPPY. You see we don't need fashion, we could all wear sacks and move on with our lives if fashion disappeared, however, fashion is like the whipped cream, sprinkles and cherries on top of the drab ice cream of life. Fashion is that little extra that makes life more special and fun.where does this lady get FEAR from? I will tell you. For Anna, fashion does not = fun. For Anna fashion = FEAR. Anna fears fashion because she is a fraud, really, think about it, it makes sense. Vogue is not great because of Anna, Vogue is great because of the talent under her and it most likely would be a better magazine if she was not the editor and she knows it.hence fashion = fear in her world. -

I was really suprised hearing her speak for the first time she was truly child-like. My heart broke for Grace when her 1920's spread was reduced and all her 'favourite' photos (the best ones!) were culled by Anna.
The way the designers bent over backwards to please her (such as Oscar de la Renta) etc. was sickening too.
I think people fear her a little too much, but like Grace told one of her colleagues (the darker man), people need to be tough with Anna and not be such push-overs.
The 'fur cover' controversy was previously unknown to me, but now I respect Vogue a little less knowing it had such an influential role in re-stirring the fur industry and market - trule sickening and unnecessary. -

Because she exhibits no nepotism in the film.
She does seem awfully invested in having her daughter follow in her footsteps. I think she'd be totally okay with handing over the crown and scepter of Vogue if only the daughter were interested.
I think they meant 'despotism.'

When you refer to her 'nepotism' in the film, do you really mean narcissim? Because she exhibits no nepotism in the film.
No, I think the OP MEANT nepotism. She absolutely exhibited nepotism.

What exactly was wrong with her choice of wardrobe?
You speak of nepotism- obviously, you don't know what you are talking about. She spoke of her family and her daughter had a brief appearance, but no one in her family is employed by her.
I am not a fan of Anna Wintour and this ninety minute documentary did not provide enough information to make any assumption as to what her values are. It's certainly not an in-depth analysis of a her relationships or life outside the work environment. I saw a strong woman who publishes one of the most successful magazine's in the world.
Every one of those people working there CHOSE to be there, they're not bound and gagged, they're free to leave.
Do you know this woman? Have you ever sit down to lunch with her,
had a conversation? Any first hand knowledge at all?
Maybe she's not used to have a film crew follow her around, at most the worst you could say about her by watching this film is she's aloof and and strives toward quality.
Unless, you know something of truth (besides of your shallow conclusion of a ninety minute film, which was
edited, btw), you need to take a good look at
yourself.
You seem like an envious jealous judgmental person, which quite frankly makes you look small.
You are filled with hate, perhaps a bit jealous.
