Does she actually have a Cockeny accent? Or does she fake one for this film?

Pardon my ignorance, but I always thought a Cockney was someone born in London. Honor is a London native herself.

Cockneys traditionally come from the east end of London, but are also found in certain areas of North London eg.Tottenham. Honor Blackman was born in Plaistow which is in east London but spent most of her early life in Ealing which is west London. After drama school she moved out of London altogether. Apparently people from other parts of London can get quite upset if they are called Cockneys.

BTW, are there any recent interviews she gave in which she talks about having to fake a Cockney accent for this film? I'd like to read some of them.

I can't think of any interviews where she talks specifically about the accent, but there are probably interviews she gave for the film online. Many of the actors faked a Cockney accent including Harry Treadaway,Rasmus Hardiker,Michelle Ryan, Dudley Sutton, and Richard Briers. Alan Ford is the only one with a genuine accent.

If she was born in Plaistow she probably did originally have a 'cockney' accent but I should think that her time at drama school got rid of that. Although like some actors she can probably call upon it when required.

I think that might depend on what kind of family she grew up in. If
                    working class
then yes, probably a cockney accent but if
                    middle class
then possibly not. But also, at the time Honor Blackman started acting it would have been trained out of her anyway.
