What a beautiful little movie.Thoughs on candy ??

At firsti was perplexed about shannon woodwards charchter.Was she low enough to use a mentally handicapped person.She seemed to be a nymphomaniac who likes to be dominated.But it turns out she's just a mother trying to raise her son the best way she knows how.I think alot of single mothers can relate.In the end i believe she really liked evan.And obvisously expressed that and wanted evan to know she really appreciated and liked him.The mentally handicapped dude is a great actor as well.Shannon woodward is obvisously beautiful and happens to be best friends with katy perrys,just a weird fact i don't know how they met.But i like her alot.It's a great nicely written movie that keeps a good pace.
But i'd like to know what others think about candys charachter.Was she a good person ?? She did lie to russ it seems about him being the father and getting money from her.That;s never really clearly answered.But she's not evil,nor a saint.What do you guys think about candy.?? -

Honestly, I was glad Shannon got to play her. I don't think we like to see complicated characters like her, but there are so many of them on various levels where we come from.
I'd hear stories about girls like her in our little town. Why did they like the bad boys? And we certainly had our strays aroundalways trying to find some good in them..making them honorable when actually they didn't want to better themselves..the guys I'm talking about. If someone like Candy had an opportunity for an education maybe things would change maybe they wouldn't. But I saw Candy as some one..who was doing the best she could and knew what to expect. Nothing was for free where she came from.
This was such a little gem. Hope more will find the time to appreciate it..but I doubt they will.
