if you could swim in the water (preferably both on top and able to dive under), instead of dying instantly on impact like it was molten lava.
Yeah, wtf? I hate games were water is a hazard. Rockstar is capable of swimming animations because you could go in the water in GTA 4.

      • if you had a bullwhip in your weapons wheel (if you switch lasso to whip eg: the same as you change throwing knives to TNT) and could use it as both a weapon and as a means to swing/climb with.
        Indiana Marston, eh?
      • if you could steal cars in Blackwater (only in Blackwater) like the one you drive in a mission, and refuel your car with Moonshine or be able to purchase gasoline containers in a store.
I agree. Maybe they could include a turn-of-the-century section in the next GTA, where you steal motorcars.
      • if you could take a rowing boat or the little boat you use with the Irish stereotype.
Yes, that section is INCREDIBLY tedious. What's funny is that there is actually a bridge down the river that they could've used. So crossing on that ferry was all for nothing.
if you could buy almost anything with your money. Example: buy MacFarlane's ranch, buy the bank in armadillo, buy herbert moons store, buy everything until you own the town. Then start buying Mexico. Until you own everything everywhere. This would also add a greater sense of your money having value. Also buy a car in blackwater, as opposed to always stealing one.
That's a good idea, like buying property in GTA 5. I guess they figured John Marston isn't the entrepreneur type.
      • if you could scalp native Americans and sell their scalps.
Why in the hell would you want to do that?
      • if you could skin people and sell their skins in Theives Landing.
Yeah, in a shop run by Leatherface's family.
      • if you could customise whether or not your character John Marston speaks or not - turn off/on.
I think after Claude in GTA 3, gamers want protagonists who speak. What's bad is when the characters talk TOO MUCH. Thankfully John isn't very talkative, and there are very few characters who yammer on hereand best of all, no phones, so nobody can call up John every 5 minutes and ask him to go bowling!
      • if you could customise your hair style and facial hair - like shave it all off etc.
That would be cool. Make John look like a city fella.
      • if you could remove your hat any time during play and or put it back on.
That would be a good feature. He could tip his hat at the ladies.
Maybe Rockstar will make a sequel someday and will include a majority of these features.

I didn't. I liked how Claude just shut the f up and killed people. He felt more on your side and reliable.
I personally hate how Rockstar attempt to inject words morality in their games like your character (who's a mass murderer) has some sort of conscience; "What has become of me?" GTA4, "Sorry man" "Don't MAKE me do this" "Not cool sorry." Etc. Then in RDR " A sad sad man." "I wasn't going to hell, I am now." "I don't know why I did that." "Sorry about this partner" etc.
It's as if Rockstar is only allowed to make their games if they try to mentally condition and brainwash people with a misplaced sense of morality.
Then I'd bet you'd like Trevor in GTA 5. He doesn't apologize for ANYTHINGexcept one time during "The Civil Border Patrol" he apologizes to one of the Mariachi singers after tasing him.

Infact as soon as I realised I couldn't take out my gun indoors - be in a club or even my own house, I was so disgusted by rockstars attempt to prevent club massacres (and such), that this issue ruined the game for me.
You gotta know how to do it. For example, if you walk up to the Vanilla Unicorn and blast the door open, you can go inside with your gun. Same token for safehousesor, if the cops chase you there, they will follow you inside and thus your weapons become useable.

You're a difficult person to impress.
