Horribly written.
Should be:
"If you found out we weren't alone… if someone showed you, proved it to you… would that frighten you?"
Or just rewrite the damn thing.
"If you knew for certain that you weren't alone, would that frighten you?"
Ok, that's now a tagline, and pretty weak, but…
anyhow…

I'd go for the more current news cycle of it all with "If Steven Spielberg was about to disclose everything to you, would you feel safe?"
