How is favoring the elite by way of the poor and uneducated being manipulated balanced? I thought you capitalists didn't care about balancing things.
And that's worse than the minority putting the majority under its thumb? It's flawed, but less so than what we have. Of course there should be democracy with stipulations. A majority shouldn't be able to violate someone's well being. But there should be more emphasis on the people.
I don't agree with the Soviets' authoritarian brand of leftism, but you can't deny that they have invented and innovated things. People also still made art, still worked, etc. Under your logic, we wouldn't really have teachers under our system. They're vastly underpaid. Same with custodial jobs.
Now do capitalism's kill count. Capitalism also killed a lot of civvies in Nam, among other places.

Most anarchists today are really just Communists who think the label anarchist sounds cool. Realistically they have no idea what it means. They're basically calling themselves Rage Against The Machine while literally raging with the machine against freedom, and they will always be too stupid to recognize it.

Human nature is complicated. It's also in our nature to work collectively. Human nature also isn't something we should always follow. It's Human nature to murder, for example. Some parts of our nature should be sublimated.
It's not just the selection, but the SCOTUS itself I don't like. Itsthe lack of democracy that's the problem. They're appointed. Yes, by people who were voted in… by a fake democracy. Voter suppression, gerrymandering, and the electoral college are all bulwarks.
Again, capitalists have killed mamy if not more. I won't call it not real communism but it's not the kind I support.
The logic that it would have taken over already is dumb. When feudalism was the norm, your system would've looked just as ridiculous.
Not all leftism is state based. Donsome research. You wanna argue about whether it's naive or what have you, we can do that, but at least have the positions correct. There are various schools of communism and other kinds of leftism.

Like I said before, I've changed my minds and have seen minds changed, even in the strangest of settings. Of course that doesn't meed to be the driving force behind an argument or discussion. Sometimes it's just learning more about your opposition, giving you more questions to ask, etc. Some conversations are more productive than others.
I talk to you like this instead of trolling like I usually do because you are more reasonable. I might not change your mind, but I think we learn more about what each other's positions actually are.
I will be discharged within the next few hours. Or so they say.

You don't want to romanticize the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc. Pretty much nothing good came out of it, and a lot of bad. Tens of millions killed by Stalin's regime.
And we didn't even really beat it – it pretty much collapsed on its own, given its own internal contradictions and inefficiencies.
It was a nice dream, corrupted and twisted by very fallible men. -

It mostly did start with Clinton. That was when the right-wing media started to develop, initiated by the success of that fat hatemonger Rush Limbaugh, and they began to brainwash the public to hate anyone not a republican. Hillary Clinton was their first victim.
