I have all these DVDs, complete fights of Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Tyson, and all these great dudes, which I have watched sometimes a couple of dozen times each. And I went and bought a Roy Jones Jr set! The guy is such a washout! At his best he was always running scared, and by the time he fought Antonio Tarver I was happy to see him get crushed.

I can't stand his ****ing taunting
whenever he's fighting an average fighter.
To steal a PAGG line: Don't even get me started, bitch!
      Davenport's preferences are outstanding.

The taunting is a cultural thing. Ali carried it to a fine art. But Jones actually didn't like being hit, which is crazy for a boxer. Mayweather also doesn't like being hit, but hit him hard enough and he gets angry and fights back. Jones just backs away!

Jones never fought true talent, imo, so he had all the swagger without the talent. No Fraziers to speak of.

Very true! The only time he fought a really good fighter was when he fought Bernard Hopkins, and for some reason that fight was really lousy. The second time they fought Hopkins kicked his ass. I think the irritating thing about Jones is that he always tried to look so stylish, even when he was fighting badly.
