I'm just asking you to relax. I'm a good guy and you should take my advice.

Depends what youre after tho.
TWD board was ( or is ) a social hangout where many of the posters became friends IRL, and mostly just made random chat threads and trolled a few die hard fans of the show.
The Soapbox was home to such prime posters as ImComplicatedOk ( Donna )
I for one liked the TWD Board better.

Donna was TWD too. She rarely posted on the Soapbox. The Soapbox had me, G, Stammaman, PAGG, Skyhawk, muttley, a bunch of good posters. I like most the TWD posters. But from what I can see there's a lot of autism on that board.

Pretty much every off-topic poster from TWD despised the show. I don't think the fact the board was (on paper) centered around a single television show says much about the crowd it drew or quality of discussion, beyond TWD was, for several years iirc, the most popular show on cable TV. Meaning it drew a TON of traffic, which naturally signifies bringing in posters from many different cultures, walks of life and viewpoints.
Not unlike the Sopabox. I'm sure SB had more visitors than any other board in it's heyday – I just tend to associate the SB primarily with severe mental illness, given the likes of Miley, Christina (she's a sweetheart, not attacking her), Donna (she was SB, she dabbled in TWD/elsewhere later), PE, etc. Many of these people live in a separate dimension from the rest of us.
FB is a microcosm of what the respective communities were on IMDb; not everyone is here, but it's a fairly accurate representation of the overall.
I'm not too into the us vs them argument though since neither of those boards exist anymore (direct comparison is impossible) and admittedly I only browsed the SB a few times (and when I did the entire first page was all Miley selfies).
I'll add TWD was mostly a genial lot, the more pointed and vicious style trolling comes from the GOT side of things, tbh. TWD had a reputation for having "formidable trolls" which led people to think it was malicious when it wasn't. -

Spot on! There was a lot of eccentricity, and a lot of sheer nonsense, a fair amount of pointed wit, but not too much malice. Almost the first rule of TWD board was: don't take yourself too seriously. Of the lot currently on the board, Rob and Bee are absolutely representative figures. If you don't get them, you won't get TWD board.

I agree. Rob, Bee and maybe Horatio are who spring to mind for representatives. Funnily enough even I was expecting Horatio to be the biggest dickhead on Earth (thanks to Bee!) and that was thrown on its head when he returned and was just goofy and laid back. I was quite looking forward to quarreling with him!

New Sincerity (closely related to and sometimes described as synonymous with post-postmodernism) is a trend in music, aesthetics, literary fiction, film criticism, poetry, literary criticism and philosophy that generally describes creative works that expand upon and break away from concepts of postmodernist irony and cynicism.
