I remember a scene with a boy in a cave looking at the monster ans saying. Bad things happen but you can still live or something like that. Anyone know if they can link me to this scene?

I'm afraid I can't link to the scene, but I can confirm this is the movie you're thinking of.
The main character says towards the end of the film.
