Who else could've played the prince?

I might be alone here but I didn't really care for Armie Hammer as the prince and think another actor could've played it better. Just want to know if anyone else feels the same and if so who do you think should have played the part? I would've like to have seen Henry Cavill, or maybe Ben Barnes.

Henry Cavill is too old but Matt Bomer isn't? Henry is only 6 years older than Lily, while Matt is 12 years older. Armie was just fine, but if not him, then I would definitely pick Henry Cavill. He definitely has the pretty-boy, upper crust look to him.

But if age isn't a problem, how is Henry Cavill too old? Granted, he looks mature for his age but he looks to be the same age as Bomer.

I'm very aware of their ages, but you are the one who said:
Henery Cavill would have been too old.
James Marsden has done a prince before, Matt Bomer would have been my first choice or even Zac Efron.

Armie Hammer's star is on the rise + he is closer in age to Lily Collins & exactly a foot taller than her. Supposedly that'd tie up with the tall, dark & handsome image of princes of fairy tales!
Ben Barnes is older & furthermore is already Prince Caspian!
Zac Efron is too HSM 'prince'!
Alex Pettyfer was considered, right? I wouldn't have minded him. But I don't see him doing the kind of comedy required here which suits Armie & Brendan Fraser more. -

Besides you have to consider that the prince was also the love interest of the queen. And even when I think Zac Efron or Alex Pettyfer would be great in the role, if Julia Roberts would be trying to seduce them it would look like child molester. I think Armie is great; he is handsome, really funny and he just fit perfectly with the image of the film

These are people I'd love to see play the Prince:
Blair Redford (big time)
Roger Bart
Jeremy Sumpter
Jamie Campbell Bower (big time)
Patrick Wilson (big time)
Jesse Metcafe (big time)
Eric Martsolf

Sorrywith the exception of Patrick Wilson (who I really like but may be too serious for this role), all other choices, including Alex Pettyfer, are poor in my opinion. Based on both looks and acting ability, they appears to be TV grade actors rather than movie stars. A better choice would have been Chris Hemsworth. Personally, I thought Armie Hammer was perfect for the roletall, handsome, charming, funny and has a great voice.

I wasn't really too crazy for Arnie Hamner as the prince. I think Saroise Ronan was the original choice to play Snow but it was because of the age difference, that Lily Collins ended up getting the role instead.

Are you out of your mind? There's no way Danny DeVito could play the Prince. He's old and fat. He's very talented but could never play the prince.
