I admit she was overweight yes, she could stand to lose a couple of stone. I just think the abuse she got in the film from characters was a bit ridiculous. She wasnt Michelle McManus for gods sake lol. Although she was big, she still had shape and curves. I didnt think she looked that bad!

She was bigger than most girls, but so what ??? putting so much on analysis on weight is just ridiculous and shallow, some people here need to grow the beep up. She's pretty, and her personality was a winner in my opinion. Just because some skinny bimbo looks great in your wank mags doesn't mean their the "ideal".

I thought she was of a large frame. She had large boobs and a large bum/legs but nothing in the way of a belly. By hot girl in a movie standards she was fat, by real life standards she was the larger side of 'normal' if normal even exists.
As a guy who goes for girls of her size and much bigger, I was happy that she was confident, arguably the prettiest and by far the most engaging for the audience personality-wise. I liked that she was not ashamed of being fat and knew how to deal with the bully who tried to mock her. I'm not sure how much I believed that a girl that cool would put up with Jay's childishness, but the movie was about the characters growing maturity, therefore it just about worked. To be honest I found it more unrealistic that Simon's girl would have persisted with him. -

Anyone who was told to hire someone who isn't that fat would have lost their job when they hired her.
In the end she is morbidly obese. Her BMI just looking at her would probably be around 35 - 40. Not healthy and is at a massively high risk in many areas due to her weight. Acting as if someone that is that fat to be not so fat is only trivialising the bigger issue here. Feelings to fat people don't mean much when a woman like her likely dies from a heart attack by the age of 40 and by that time probably has 2 or 3 young kids to go without a mother. -

Yes she's fat but if you seriously think that counts as morbidly obese you really need to research it better. Thinking she'd die at age 40 as a direct result of her weight is just plain stupid, I know people twice her size in their late 60s

Yes and there are 90 year olds who have been smoking since they were 13, doesn't make smoking harmless now does it? Fact remains this morbidly obese woman is high risk (heart disease, heart attack, stroke).

If you don't realize how overweight that girl is, then you need a reality check. I assume you come from a family of pie eating champions. She wasn't a "little chubby" or even chubby or even fat. She was truly obese. It's not healthy. No-one should defend it - it will only encourage other fat girls to think that their excessive weight is acceptable/healthy.
