The cast is too young

I want my scavenger crew to be mainly haggard but skilled veterans. This crew looked fresh out of high school, even the android
But this movie isn't about scavenger crews. Those young people were trying to escape being used as human slaves for Weyland mining company. Their goal was to escape to another planet that was like Earth. Their plan was to travel to that derelict ship orbiting the planet that they were enslaved on, steal the cryo pods and use the cryo pods to get to that planet that was like earth.
They didn't know that the derelict ship was used to experiment on aliens and that there were aliens on that ship.
The only issue that I had with their age of the cast was their extensive knowledge about flying spacecraft. Lol. I would think that flight school would take years to accomplish and training needed. -

Why did it matter if the cast was too young or not? It was a decent movie anyways.
