It's satirizing a cheesy type of moment that would be included in certain reality TV shows, I think. Kind of like when there are intimate, "romantic" moments between two people, on shows where a whole bunch of people compete for the "true love" of one person (and some money). You know, when it's trying to come off as way less shallow than it is, and failing? And a lot of people are thinking, "what the beep does she see in him?" It feels a bit like that, too me.

Pretty sure you hit the nail on the head. Just satirizing the cheesy unneeded romantic moments that make viewers roll their eyes! I thought the wedding bit was hilarious, and was glad they added it in. Just adds to the shallow nature and d-list status of Audrey.

Of course, this is the reason.

It really did look like they'd done it on a reality TV show themselves, those little shots of them getting ready between them saying their vows had me thinking they sold their wedding to the highest bidder, like they are trying to get in on the famous for just existing racket. Or was that just a bit of reenactment they filmed to put with the "confessional"? In which case when did they do that? Thinking about it, that actually raises a lot of questions, if they did have a reality tv show following them as they got married why would she be breaking the news on this show? And if it was filmed for the new show then it adds weight to the theory that this one is ALL fake and everything has been set up and nobody is really being killed.

I think it also highlights the mismatch in the relationship between the twonot just age, but maturity levelshe had these sincere vows and he seemed to make his up on the fly and ended with "I'm going to love the s_it out of you".
It seems like he only married her for a career boost.

Yea cause I don't see them as "celebrities" or "rich people". It seems like they're playing C, even D-list actors; especially after Agnes' over the top description of a one-time-only horror show like it was an Oscar winning film. I mean, look where Agnes lived? Wasn't exactly a Beverly Hills mansion.
And I don't watch those real housewives/bachelor shows, so I have no idea how those shows go.

Yes, successful actors don't typically do reality shows.

They don't even do re-enactment type shows! In fact a lot of famous or notable actors today got their start doing re-enactment specials.

I thought Agnes ended up living in that place because she probably lost work and money due to her breakdown/treatment and she moved there to be close to the house/Butcher's land, so she didn't have as much of a choice in where to go.

Nevermind Agnes Audrey's age is mentioned a few times in the episode and yet when she enters the bedroom and throws herself on the bed she says it's where she filmed her first sex scene. If an actress "of her age" has shot her first sex scene one year prior, then it must mean that she has barely had any roles at all, up until that point. None of these people are celebrities and none of these people are rich. Also note how some of them (Angela Basset's character & Agnes) talk about their "roles" and the impact of these roles on their lives. It was just a re-enactment, guys. That's all. A role in a re-enactment is one step above being in a commercial.

So all actresses have to spread their legs for the camera before they are considered as having roles?

Ah yes, someone was bound to make this into a "sexism!" plea. Listen, it's not my fault that Hollywood and the TV industry use sex to sell their product. Most actresses, whether feminists or not, sooner or later have to "spread their legs" (as you so gentleman-ly put it) for a role. Because that's how the scripts are written. Blame the writers and blame the audience. Also, women's media consists mostly of love stories - either straight-up or comical, but love stories nonetheless. In today's world, a love story without sex included is rare. If you can't handle the reality that female actors will be under more pressure during their careers to get naked or make "O" faces in front of a rolling camera, then you're probably not mature enough to be pointing fingers either. It's about how things ARE - not how they SHOULD be. This is reality.
And for the record, before you escalate this into ridiculousness (the original reply already went into that direction), I should probably warn you that I'm a woman. So no, accuses of misogyny will NOT bode well here.

I think it's to mock, or make fun, of our pop culture nowadays. Just another little "Meta" detail that was put in this episode. I personally beep loved this episode as well as the previous 5, this season might be the best one yet. I literally cannot find one thing wrong with it or that I don't like. We'll see how it all plays out, but so far it is dope as beep

The show stated that MRN was a HUGE hit, won awards and made celebrities out of the reenactment actors. So while they started off as minor league performers, the docudrama made them into pop culture stars.

Note that I also used Kim Kardashian as an example of a minor league celebrity. They're not famous for anything groundbreaking. They were on a cheesy ghost show that, by some fluke, happened to be a hit.
Rory and Audrey aren't exactly Brad and Angelina. They're just famous.

That would be a waste of head space. Why hasn't anyone thrown a grenade through there window by now? They shouldn't exist.
