I think it's bs that the producers invite an actor (Rory) that only appeared in 1 episode of their hit show and not other actors with far more screentime like Dennis O'hare's character and Wes Bentley's.

They probably invited him because he's married to the actress that played Shelby. And/or she refused to do it without him there
