In the interview with Agnes (Kathy Bates), she mentions there are only two great (female) roles in American theatreThe Butcher and Mary Tyrone (A Long Day's Journey into Night), the character Jessica played on Broadway this last year.
It might be coincidence (Tyrone is considered one of the greatest roles), but I thought it may have been a nice way to wink to her.

Yes! I caught that too. I wish she was in this season. I understand why she left. 3-5 were so cartoony. But this one is creepy af.

Ryan said gaga's witch was the original Supreme. Lange could also come back for a few seconds as the REAL ghost witch and original supreme as a node to her in Coven, i'd be ok with that too lol
