If they stuck to the cop stuff this movie would have been great. Loved the cop stuff.
But the bromance stuff was just way too much melodrama for me. Yeah, we get itthe guys liked each othermale bondingblah, blah, blah.
    Romance was cookie cutter.
This movie could have been an 8 or 9, but the other crap was just way too melodramatic and kind of gay. Not that I have anything against gay people. But you know what I mean.

no, it wasn't gay or melodramatic at all - you're just projecting your own BS onto othersthese 2 guys were close friends since police academywhat else are they going to do but "bond" when driving around patrolling all day? if you can't handle the idea of 2 male friends respecting and caring about each other, that's your problemit was very realistic and far from corny, and they only ever really acknowledged their closeness when drunk or dying, like most guys would

          This.
It's sort of a "until you've walked in my shoes" thing. I would have taken my partner's bullet(s). My partner's life was mine to keep. No hesitation. No thought about it. Not unlike I would do for my wife or kids. The relationship between the partners in the film were eerily accurate. The "thin blue line" was never contrived, created, or drawn. It just showed up, and was there.

Are you a cop or in the military?

Well thank you for serving our country. I actually have a question about this movie and I posted it as a topic about an hour ago. I'm hoping maybe you can help me out. This is a copy of what I posted so you don't have to track it down:
So, the scene when both cops unload on their assailants in order to make a run from the civilian's apartment, after they shot the guy waiting in the hallway, why do you suppose one of them didn't take his assault rifle?
I know it's easy for someone like myself to say what I'd do in that instance, and I'd like to say I'd have grabbed that AK, but I imagine you're not thinking as you normally would in such a chaotic situation.
As a police officer, are you allowed to take a criminal's weapon if you need it? I mean, they were completely outgunned and outnumbered. It just seemed like the logical thing to do would be to take that POS's weapon so you'd have a fighting chance.
If anyone could help answer these questions, I'd greatly appreciate it.
