Unlike Warner Bros. purchasing the entirety of DC at once, there was a time when Marvel licensed the rights to the characters to separate studios.
X-men, Ghost Rider, Daredevil & Fantastic Four went to 20th Century Fox.
Punisher went to Lionsgate.
Blade went to New Line Cinema.
Spider-man went to Sony.
Now, Disney has purchased the entirety of Marvel. Sony is currently the only studio to still own the rights to a Marvel character. The others have reverted to Disney. Disney owns Spider-man, but Sony owns the rights to use the character cinematically.
The agreement was that the respective studios would have to release a movie with the character within a certain amount of time, since the previous movie, or they lose the rights. Sony's deal may be 5 years.
After Spider-man 3 was critically panned, and Tobey expressed reluctancy to come back for another one, and would have had demanded a salary increase, and after the success of The Dark Knight, Sony rebooted it with a darker tone, hoping that this one would evolve into a universe.
TAS2 was critically-panned and now Sony is in trouble.
At this time, they struck a deal with Disney to use Spider-man in the MCU for the Avengers movies. But Disney didn't want to use Garfield's version: Disney agreed only under the conditions that Spider-man is rebooted…again.
So that explains why Spider-man was rebooted 3 times in a small amount of time.
This deal benefited Sony more than Disney. Disney didn't NEED Spider-man; they already had a thriving universe. If they were smart, they would've let Sony keep Spider-man until it failed, then own him fully. As it stands, all Disney did was hand over Tom Holland's Spider-man to Sony, and it'll be there for a long time coming.
Hence why Sony keeps releasing crap 80-minute films like Morbius and Venom & Carnage: they're rush-jobs to maintain the rights and nothing more.

as an actor? The Twilight Saga is a film franchise that he did in the
beginning
of his career. People can rag on it all they want but it will
always
be one of the most successful film franchises of all time, as it played a huge part in defining pop culture for years. It's what made the lead actors household names at the time. I doubt you've seen any of those movies, anyways.
also he's not old enough to be batman or bruce wayne. bruce has to be played by someone at least late 30s or early 40s or at least looks these ages which he doesn't he still looks like a kid 25 year old actor. bruce has a accomplished, grizzled, world renowned, prestigious look and way of acting that an actor of 35 doesn't have.
This is, without a doubt, one of your DUMBEST statements.
also he's british. can we stop casting british or european actors in american comic book roles already please? i mean this is our thing comic books. this is one of america's only properties, worlds that we own, that we created. so let's keep it american just like the old phrases buy american when it comes to cars.

even i, being a traditionalist and old school though think michael keaton is the best batman actor. and this is even though i watched and loved adam west on the tv show.

I'm Gen X and the only Batman I've ever liked is Adam West's Batman. When I was a kid growing up in the '70s, Batman was one of my favorite shows. I don't know how many times I watched the reruns. I never bothered with the Keaton and Kilmer films later on. I'm one of, like, three Americans who have never seen the 1989 blockbuster Keaton-Nicholson film! All the hype surrounding it turned me off at the time. Maybe I'll watch it someday, but I doubt it. I have too many giallos to catch up on.

I had a crush on Batgirl at a young age. Years later, I preferred Catwoman (Julie Newmar).

now i really love you in an admiring cool looking up to you, bro way. bc i had almost the biggest crush on batgirl. and watching her on batman nowadays i'm still struck by her extreme natural, exotic beauty. she had very rare beauty.
now julie newmar as catwoman is the most beautiful girl who has ever lived. big statement but i really feel this way. and beauty is subjective so her beauty is what to me in my mind is the most beautiful girl who has ever lived. it's my preference.
when i was young, 12 i had the biggest crush on her. catwoman was to my very young eyes the hottest girl and the most beautiful girl i had ever seen. and she had so much natural beauty, glamour, and she had so much allure in her eyes and skin.
then watching her on this show nowadays i was just as shook, stunned, amazed by her natrual beauty, alluring eyes and skin. i still see her as the most beautiful and the hottest girl who has ever lived.
i just watched her in an episode of the twilight zone. she played the devil who grants a guy wish for hiw soul. he chooses to time travel. she was about as stunning as she was on batman but it's impossible to tell if she was as beautiful as on batman bc it was in black and white. she was the devil complete with adorable, bc it's her, horns on her head. have you ever watched this episode?
oh it's so worth watching it's a new dimension in quality as far as superhero tv shows and movies. it's ground breaking. never experienced an animated tv show about superheroes done in a serious and sometimes funny way that is as high quality as this show. it's the best animated superhero show of all time. it's as the kids say nowadays next level.

Yes, it's one of the better hour long episodes from Season 4. It's called Of Late I Think of Cliffordville. She was super sexy in this episode. Twilight Zone is my all time favorite TV series. I've seen every episode. -

oh my gosh i'm so happy you love the twilight zone so much. i loved i as a little kid of about 10 and i've been watching it lately and it's so well made. i'm amazed by the quality of this show.
it has to be the highest quality tv show of all time. that is not to say it is the best tv show of all time but just that you can't get any higher in quallity. the quality standard is so high. they never accepted lower than the best quality in any episode.
everytime i watch nowadays i might not like the episode bc the plot might not interest me but the quality is always the same which is amazing it being so high.
rod serling's other show night gallery doesn't have anywhere near as high the quality standard of ttz.

he puts it in her drink and then she is uncontrollably attached to him, and attracted to him. she can't ever live without him, almost not even for 30 minutes. she smothers him with her physical love and affection, and attention to the point where he can't take it anymore.
then he gets a different potion that de-activates the spell on her.
it really is extraordinary this episode. it's the most entertaining episode i've watched of ttz.
it makes you ponder that if you coud do this to a girl that you really like would you?

Nope, the episode with Newmar as the devil is one of the hour-long episodes. It's from Season 4, all the episodes from that season were an hour long.

Are you sure this is a TZ episode? I'm trying to remember it. From your description, it sounds a bit like I Dream of Genie, another episode from Season 4, but it's a genie in a lamp that grants the guy a wish and he wishes for some attractive girl in his office to fall in love with him and the results are much the same as what you described. -
