Traci Lords is great in this film

I guess lots of people felt she was overacting, but I thought she was great. Pretty good performances for most of the cast. I enjoyed it quite a lot.

I take her sob story about being molested and forced into porn etc., etc., etc. with a grain of salt. She lied about her age to get into porn.

lied about her age to get into porn. She was also very known for her VERY realistic enthusiasm. She was in high demand and made A LOT of money despite what she claims. What would anyone think she would say when she wanted to break into mainstream acting?

She is KILLING it. I just happened on this, completely by accident, and, about half an hour in, I don't think I'll stay with it - not in the mood for dark and twisty right now - but I'll look it up again when I do want something like that, because the performances are brilliant. Especially Lords! I've known she could act ever since

, but I had no idea she was THIS talented. Very impressed.
Edit: I did return to the film and watch it in full, and Lords was even better than I'd thought previously. Heart-wrenching. She really understands her character, and empathizes with her, clearly. It's a beautiful performance.
