I can't wait to watch this. It's going to be fun seeing Michael Keaton reprise his role.

He looks like he just played the role yesterday and not thirty-six years ago. Hopefully this will be a return to form for Burton, the trailer looks promising.

Agreed! Keaton is bringing the same energy and same vibe to this. I'm so excited to see it. I like that they kept the same
        angsty-daughter-upset-with-her-mother
line through the movie. I'm enjoying the new twist in the plot and so glad we have the return of the core actors (and "special guests").

What do you mean by a return to form? Burton has made much better films than Beetlejuice. The film had its moments, but I found it lacking something. It was a tad bland.

                Fair enough.
I'd say my favourite Tim Burton movie would be the Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street or Big Fish, but he's done quite a few movies with his particular flair over the years

He has his own unique style. I like Batman Returns, Sweeney Todd, Ed Wood, Frankenweenie and Mars Attacks the best.

Yeah, and Beetlejuice 2 is actually a close cousin to Big Fish … find out why if you go and see.

It's a close cousin in the same way that a film about acceptance of death of the stories told before then are questionable by those hearing them Gorg. I suppose the sentimentality could be sprinkled upon in that regard, but all in all it kept to being a Beetlejuice movie while being mostly positive and fun in dealing with sombre stuff like death and regret

                                    Spoilers
Burton ventured into the father-son relationship firstly in Big Fish, the father the mythologist, the son the scientist, ending up reconciling.
This is almost the same, just in the mother-daughter relation. No chance btw he didn't address Helena and their daughter here.
                                    Gorgs it is.

                                      I can definitely see that
With Big Fish though it was about him and his old man. Unless he's swapped his gender (And his dead father his) though I think it's merely a passing of the torch for a possible third movie between his protégées
Danny DeVito was a nice touch in the movie, shame he didn't share a scene with Michael Keaton, but ah well

I really need this movie to not be mid as ****. The original was a huge part of my childhood.

This is one of those classics where there are big shoes to fill. Based on the trailer, however, this looks extremely promising.
