Dear Netflix,

Probably the most idiotic comment I've seen a while.
Firstly, this season of Black Mirror is in no way a disaster in any sense of the word.
What criticisms of this season do you think can be attributed to Netflix?
And finally "everything they touch turns to garbage". Yes, lets just ignore all the highly successful, critically acclaimed shows they have produced.
So again, you're an idiot. -

I agree with the Op as Season 3 seemed to lose the "black" or "dark" part of Black Mirror. It seems S3 should just be called Mirror. The tone seems to be off from the the non Netflix produced season.
I will still watch the episodes and have seen 4 so far but it does not feel as good as the original episodes.
It still is about the only alternative for those who like The Twilight Zone and Outer Limits type shows in modern (or future) times.

I wish Netflix would put Seasons 1 and 2 back up for streaming!
I just started Season 3 (4 episodes in so far) and now I'm really curious to see the earlier seasons for the show.
The only extra episode available on Netflix (besides Season 3) is the Christmas special.
Does anyone remember/know if Seasons 1 and 2 were available on Netflix at some point and that they've just gone to the 'Netflix Vault' (or wherever) and will hopefully be available again at some point in the near future?
You know, like how they take movies/tv shows away and add new ones every month - only I've noticed that many times the "recently added" ones are shows they've had available in the past that are suddenly back again anyone else notice that about Netflix's "revolving door" catalogue?

Black Mirror was always hit and miss and the tone is anything but consistent. Sometimes it is science fiction, sometimes satire, sometimes drama sometimes comedy, sometimes dark comedy and sometimes even so dark comedy, that one cannot even laugh anymore.
The first one felt a tad too much like comedy to me. But episode 3 of season 3 is among the best episodes of this show and well written.
So maybe just like Arrested Development, one should invest a bit of patience before having an opinion. -

I guess the episodes I like had a darker tone. I thought Episode 5 was total crap but Episode 6 was probably the best episode of the series.
As to the other poster, all seasons are available in the States. If is not in the UK then it probably has something to do with whatever channel airs it.
There are quite a variety of legal ways to watch most shows once they have aired but I don't know if the BBC channels stream all the shows with past seasons.

I see what I was most worried about when Netflix bought the show has come true; that being stupid Netflix users thinking that they have an opinion worth reading. The show is just as good as when it was produced in Britain.
"In your opinion?"
"Um, yes your honor, in my opinion." -

gyroscope888, you should watch the other episodes of the season, especially "San Junipero."
Great writing and acting in that episode:

All episodes are amazing in their own way.
I liked how this season wasn't all political but also developed the futuristic universe.
Like the 4th it had a happish ending. But the concept is disturbing that everyday people can determine what happens with them after they die.
Just because an episode feels different from a previous does not therefore mean it is bad. They are all episodic, if you don't like one, move onto another. -

I really liked it and I did not think I would up to the 1/2 way mark, but it sucked me in and I ended up pleasantly surprised.
Freedom of speech is very important and is under attack right now. Self censorship is probably the worst kind.
