There are people like that in every generation. You could have easily made this movie about kids in any decade, just with different technology to mess with the guy.

Complete and utter nonsense. Yeah, Ethan's generation is the worst generation ever. It's worse than the generations that used to send their children out to work when they were ten years old. It's worse than the generations who treated blacks, gays and women as second class citizens to white males.
Your concept of the "breakdown of the American family" is further nonsense. People seem to think that back in the 195's, everyone lived like Ozzie and Harriet. Newsflash, they didn't. The generations are, in fact, getting much better.
Read. Educate yourself. Be happy you live in a time where you can do this.

Yes, that sums up everything you say.
People seem to think that back in the 195's
That was less than 200 years since the crucifixion. I have no idea what a family unit looked like back then, but I know this, in the 20th century families stayed together, loved and respected each other. Is that an absolute? No of course not, there are always exceptions, but now everyone's raised in a single parent household and it's mother and child. That's why boys are so effeminate these days. So don't go telling me your beep about what you think it was like, because I know.

I'll read and then be forced to educate you. And what the beep is this beep about being happy that I live in a time where I can do "this"? That's how stupid you are. Do you think there was a time when I didn't have freedom in the United States? That's some dumbass childish beep you're peddling there. Even more pathetic is that it appears you're crediting the very culture that I oppose for whatever "this" is. Sorry to rain on your parade of stupid.

Exactly the sort of idiotic response I would expect from an dumba$$ like you.
Thanks for the laugh. Maybe next time, try to learn something (like the English language and some common sense) before posting on a message board.

Ethan was such a despicable prick. I so wanted him to go to prison at the end.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
