It's a lot closer to Prisoners.

There are some loose similarities, but it's not a patch on The Hunt, nor Prisoners either. IMO, it has the makings of a possibly intriguing film missing even a half - way decent script.

'Strangeland' reminded me the film 'Walkabout' (1971).
