The worst Ted Bundy film

Overall I thought it was a good film. I’ve seen several movies and documentaries about Bundy, including the Mark Harmon version from the 80s. I liked that it was told from a different perspective than what we’ve seen before. Kloefer is one of the few women that he did not murder and even maintained a mostly normal relationship with him.
I read a few fact checking articles critiquing the film and they conclude that the film is surprisingly accurate. Much of the dialogue in the courtroom was taken directly from the court transcripts. My only qualm regarding artistic license that was taken by the director comes in the very last scene. I don’t want to spoil it, but it did not happen.
I think Effron really captured that icy glare of Bundy which is frequently seen in photographs of him. I thought it was a perfectly competent performance. Overall I enjoyed it.

"one of the few women that he did not murder"????
every woman who wasn't a stranger to him or that wasn't young and hot with long hair and a great body he didn't murder. he had a million women that he knew personally, or that weren't young and hot, who he didn't murder. the women he murdered he made sure he only knew them TO murder them.

I thought it was fairly decent. The whole point of a stunt-cast like Efron is to properly convey the disarming nature of Ted Bundy. People watching the film will remember Efron as the harmless teen actor who starred in Disney's goofy "High School Musical." He's meant to be disarming as an actor just as the real Bundy was disarming as a person; you aren't supposed to see him as a threat.
When he does let that demeanour slip, though, it's very believable, and likely very accurate. Only in very few instances could you catch a glimpse of something 'wrong' beneath his "nice guy" performance.
His vocal imitation of Bundy was pretty spot-on, as well.
Granted, my review could be unfairly favourable; I watched the thing when I was still on painkillers.
The train is coming with shiny cars, comfy seats, and wheels of stars. Hush, little ones, have no fear; the man in the moon is the engineer. -

I don't know why they keep making films about this idiot. This one was okay, but the obvious dramatic license made it ridiculous. I mean if you want to know about TB for some dumb reason you should see a documentary, not one of these endless murdersploitation films.

It wasn't that bad. But the hype around it made me think it was going to be closer to Seven or Silence of the Lambs.
Instead, the movie comes across like it can't decide who to follow. At times, it almost goes too far in making Bundy come across as innocent, which would've worked if most of the movie had been following Liz, and we could see it all from her perspective. But it doesn't. By the halfway point, she's regulated to just watching him on television, and that's mostly it.
So not a terrible movie, but not one I'll ever revisit.
So many stories, so little time. -

I agree. Started to watch this and it's just too lame, focusing on the fake relationship or ted and liz. We don't need anymore Bundy films unless it's with Al Bundy.
