And I'm referring to
Eva's rape scene
. She was fit, she was athletic, she had some basic knowledge of self-defense, yet still she stood almost no chance when facing someone considerably stronger. It's a basic notion that many many films tend to gloss over, when a 55 kg woman somehow manages to beat in hand to hand combat guys twice her weight.
Overall, good movie (I gave it a 7), top-notch acting and beautiful cinematography.

I know right? Men can regularly beat up aliens, mutants, cyborgs, vampires and werewolves with their bare knuckles, but a woman beating up a man? That would be pure nonsense.

I have some experience with modern dance. 3 years, just to stay fit not professionally, and I know that she would know how to do various kicks even martial art style, and give punches. So normally she could beat the crap out of an average untrained loser like Stan.
Of course it's one thing to know how to defend your self theoretically and another actually doing it. Fear can make you forget what you know. Eve though tried to use her knowledge to defend herself and I though she would knock him down and kill him with the axe.
