    Honestly I hope so. We need real Star Trek again, not these JJ wannabe Star Wars movies. I don't care these movies never come back but I want to see Star Trek live on longer. But this show needs to be a hit or it probably means no Star Trek for a long time again.
    But if its a hit they might make another show and maybe more movies too.

      Pretty funny that the point of these movies supposedly 'saved' Star Trek after Nemesis bombed and Enterprise got cancelled and now it sounds like people are expecting Discovery to save it again after Beyond flopped. Circle of life I guess.

        Not a chance its going to be a disaster & CBS own the TV series different franchise to the movie series which Paramount own the rights for!
