Nah, I feel like these Kelvin movies need to do things totally different from the Prime verse. They need to get away from Khan or Genesis or even the Borg, but instead either give us something totally new or play up something we've only heard mentioned in passing.
I do agree about the war with the Klingons, but it should be something the Romulans have manipulated both sides into. It's up to Kirk to make peace with the Klingons and join up with them to defeat the Romulans.
But they are talking about getting Chris Hemsworth in there somehow so this could be a Yesterday's Enterprise type situation.
Revenge is the most important meal of the day. -

lol wth? this sounds pretty dam close to into darkness unfreezing khan for help against klingons only to have him turn and want to defeat the federation and kirk must find a way to save all ,, yes they're different circumstances but the main story is basically the same
if they're bringing chris hemnsworth for a ratings boost ,, then it will definitely have some kind of time travel story -

It sounds like a logical followup to STID.
However, the plot is too busy. It would need a very large budget to make (which is not going to happen).
It would probably need to be split into 2 movies.
If a budget was granted for this, you would have a movie like Batman v Superman.
Nice to look at, but way too much going on story-wise.
btw, your casting is very good. Especially Jason Momoa.
Schwarzenegger as Kahless is an interesting choice.
