It Can't Be Ignored: The DCEU Is a "Mess"

Meh could care less about the negativity.
That means that you care more about it than you would like to.
Whoever the retard was who started spreading the "could care less" epidemic, I would like to beat them about the head with a very large dictionary. -

That's great you're not worried.
You're the kind of boring automaton that would be just fine if we never get Brainiac or Metallo.
They could recycle Lex Luthor as a Superman villain 50 more times and you'd be OK with that. -

Yes! I really don't want to see this all come crashing down. Despite the questionable filmmakers involved, I don't think it's all worth losing a great cast (yes, I said great - even if they were nominated for razzies) for a reboot.
How does it feel to be deconstructed? -

To be honest, I don't think they are rebooting. The thing is that as much as the studios would like a film to get positive response, there's only one thing that determines a franchises future: money. At the end of the day, as long as these movie continue to make the green, the DCEU isn't going anywhere. It's already made them 2.3 billion in 3 movies. All of the actors are locked in multi picture deals. What it does mean though, is that the DCEU will become the Transformers of the CBM genre. Financially successful but terribly recieved. And for the rest of the DCEU's run, I would rewatch MOS and BVS, longing for the days when they made good movies.

And honestly who's to say that a reboot will even be received better? People seem to be insanely hard to please when it comes to DC
They could recast/reboot AGAIN only to make another film that is divisive. There's a very high chance that could happen again since the market for comic book films is so damn competitive.
If they rebooted now, the comic book movie fad will probably die before they even get around to the inevitable Justice League team up film lol.
I really don't see how rebooting is worth the risk for WB at this point. The DCEU is already their second shot at the shared Universe when you consider Green Lantern their first failed attempt.

I agree 100%. The DCEU wouldn't survive a reboot. They are already playing catch up by 8 years. To reboot it would be a nightmare. I just hope that Wonder Woman and Justice League do well both critically and financially.

I'm not too hopeful when it comes to critical reception. It's become pretty clear to me that DC movies have become critics punching bag. They seem to enjoy getting extra critical when they watch DC movies.
And just give other films a pass.
Honestly.
Cough cough Arrival Cough cough

Not really. It's just that when the main selling point is that you have a movie that is some kind of deep, transcendental experience in superhero movies, and has "serious themes" and so on, you're going to be judged on that.
And so far the DCEU has failed
spectacularly
on delivering those things.
The DCEU is like a kid putting on his daddy's pants, and demanding to be called a big boy.

try to say that Arrival is bad?
How dare I preach the truth that Arrival was a boring piece of sht. The story was not interesting enough to justify making a movie about it.
Oh wow these boring tentacle aliens decide to share the ability for us to see into the future so exciting!
Glad I didn't pay to see that snooze inducer.

yeah, it doesn't have superheroes in it, it must be boring. if you are 15.i get it that it's not for all tastes but cinematically is a better movie than all superhero movies. And you are bothered that people trash MOS or BVS
even equiped with a shovel and you couldn't dig this
