Like nails driven through his hands, Stephen Strange's hands had metal driven into them from the accident and surgeries to follow.
Dr. Strange like Jesus becomes the great physician, a healer of bodies and souls.
Strange learns that the path to victory is in denial of self, humility, submission, and service to others, a common theme in the teachings and example of Jesus.
After resisting the temptations of ego, self, and all the riches and fame that goes with it, Strange offers himself to save the world from darkness and Satan in the form of Dormammu.
Strange dies and is resurrected again and again until he bends the devil to his will through his own sacrifice and submission.
    The thing is that
    Doctor Strange
accomplished the Jesus allegory with a subtlety and finesse that BvS was lacking, and I say this as someone who didn't have a problem with the Jesus allegory in BvS.
    Doctor Strange
    just pulled it off better.

            lol sure it did
the jesus allegory was in man of steel, there was a lot more than that in bvs a hell of a lot more. the statement "hey look he is kinda like jesus" is not subtle and lacks finesses, the film doctor strange would need to say something MORE than make some parallels. snyder does this all the time, he uses the parallels to actually say something.
