Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

    tranm98 — 9 years ago(November 04, 2016 12:05 PM)

After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice slumped in theaters, fans were worried about Batmans future. The iconic DC Comics vigilante stands as one of the most recognizable heroes of all-time, but his debut in the blockbuster received mixed reviews. While fans enjoyed Ben Afflecks performance, critics were unhappy with the characters development. Affleck has promised to rectify those concerns with his standalone Batman flick, but it seems like the film may have hit a major roadblock. According to The Ringer, Afflecks script apparently has serious problems.
The site published a recent expose on the state of Hollywoods film industry, and Afflecks Batman flick made a brief appearance in the essay. Having spoken to Bret Easton Ellis, the site said the author has heard from industry insiders that the film is a mess.
I was having dinner with a couple of executives who know other executives who are working on the [forthcoming] Batman movie, The Batman, Ellis said. And they were just telling me that there are serious problems with the script.

      My friend's neighbor's 2nd cousin's stepdad's neighbor's nephew's sister's dog told me otherwise

"Serious problems" is pretty hard for Ol' Andre to define, given his life style and his otherwise bizarre taste in entertainment.

This is an example of how not to start a sentence.
Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man?

This is not news at this point. When an upcoming DC film does NOT have "rumours" of being a pile of crap, that will be news.

Tried to hard with that one. If it were me answering I would have to say Dark Knight since that one got some people's panties wadded up.

                            Batman Begins, I guess.

Agreed, BB was the last good DC live action I've seen.

Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the "S" now stands for Sidekick

TDK was alright, but the script was easily the worst part of it.
