Its rare that a film bores me so damn much that i'm just hoping for it to end. This is one hour and forty minutes of absolute misery. Knocked both my parents out an hour into it who give just about ANY movie a chance. Lame predictable twist and absolutely nothing worthy of being recorded by a camera is presented. It doesn't even look that good from a cinematographic stand point. Theres no feeling of dread like the Babadook conveyed or even a nice slow build up that leads to absolute madness like j-horror (Audition among other great slow burn horror movies) tends to do. Its just painfully numbing and you hoping for something, anything to beep happen. The torture segment is entirely useless by the time it comes around because nobody cares, just be over ffs. The trailer was so misleading and actually made this look like it'd be something of worth. Good job messing up the idea of basing a movie around Capgras syndrome and making it completely tedious.
4/10, and thats just because I have respect for ANYONE that actually chooses to make films. Its not an easy task even if its absolute garbage.
